Overview

MCL have an immediate vacancy for a Piping Layout Coordinator for our Oil and Gas client

 

Location:  The role will be based on 5 days a week in the client's offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working possible with two days remote.

 

Duration:  For an initial 6 month contract role with immediate start

 

Rate:  Target Limited Company rate to man of circa £60.00 per hour

 

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment

Responsibilities

Job Description

 

  • The candidate will be expected to lead the layout development for an Onshore Gas plant in Iraq.
  • The candidate will be expected to complete full layout without guidance.

  • The successful candidate will  supervise other designers on the detailed work.

  • Additionally, the role entails coordination duties and design lead recommendations with other engineering disciplines such as Structural, Mechanical, Safety, Mechanical Handling and Process.
  • The individual should have extensive experience in piping design and plant layout and be fully conversant with AVEVA E3D..
  • The work will be conducted at various design stages ranging from FEED onto Detail Design. The project has recently begun the FEED phase.
  • The position will require responsibility and a hands-on ability for modelling equipment, pipework, preliminary structure, and access routes.
  • A sound knowledge of stress and support requirements within the routing of pipework is also essential.
  • Regular duties will also include review of project documents, preparation, and involvement in presentation of project Model Reviews at multi-discipline level, checking of equipment layouts in FEED.
  • TOTAL experience would be useful.
