Overview

MCL are looking for 2 x Senior C&I Designers for our Oil and Gas client in Aberdeen.

Duration: If on a contract basis then estimated durations are 6 months with possible extensions thereafter.

However this may also be available as a Staff role.

Location: Can be based in Aberdeen or Glasgow with the option to work hybrid minimum 3 days per week in the office. However, remote working could be considered with visits to the office

Rate: Negotiable - please apply to discuss

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.

Responsibilities

Key duties:

  • Creates and checks engineering designs
  • Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements
  • Input to project plans
  • Identify areas of concern during any project or study
  • Produce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
  • Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
  • Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore (not essential)

About You:

  • Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy coaching and mentoring others.
  • Have a HND in a relevant subject
  • Significant Brownfield experience
  • Drilling Facilities experience would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in detail design with an awareness of other disciplines. 
  • You need to be competent and have an interest in working with AutoDesk design products.
