Overview

MCL requires a Principal Working Environment Engineer on a Norwegian Project for our Oil and Gas client.

 

Duration: for an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start.

 

Rate: The target limited company rate is negotiable.

 

Location: The role will be based on 5 days a week in the Client Offices in Leatherhead.

Hybrid working is possible with two days remote acceptable per week.

 

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.

Job Description


As part of a project team, perform all aspects of Working Environment scope area:

  • Familiar with prevailing regulations and requirements for working environment
  • Evaluations and input to design and deliverables related to working environment:
  • Accessibility/transport
  • Ergonomics
  • Noise/acoustics
  • Vibrations
  • Illumination
  • Chemical exposure
  • Life saving equipment
  • Radiation
  • Operations outdoors
  • Indoor climate
  • WEHRA / Human Factor Analysis
  • Participate, provide input and facilitate design and construction reviews, with emphasis on working environment
  • Provide input to survey-checklist and reports.
  • Provide input to internal design specifications and specifications towards suppliers and third parties.
  • Follow-up supplier – quality and timeliness – with respect to working environment deliverables.
  • Close cooperation with other disciplines and departments to ensure working environment requirements are known and implemented in their deliverables.

Skills and experience

  • Experience from Oil & Gas sector preferred
  • Ideally the candidate will have working-knowledge and experience with “NORSOK S-002 Working Environment
  • Able to undertake any specific area of Working Environment scope independently.
  • Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any work placements.
